Meet Xixi

Xixi [Shi-Shi] is the Wedding Dance Expert with an unique method that shows engaged couples exactly how to do their First Dance in record time. She works with committed couples who struggle with the idea of dancing in front a big crowd and would like to confidently dance on the floor without a slip. What separates her service from other dance studios is her proven track record of providing exceptional customer service. All of her clients receive the utmost attention and the highest quality of instruction that they deserve.

Xixi teaches a variety of dances, including Rumba, Salsa, Cha-Cha, Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Swing, and more.  She was trained in ballet during her youth under the Royal Academy of Dance program in Hong Kong. After she discovered ballroom dancing at Northwestern University, she competed in both Latin and Standard ballroom competitions and trained with nationally recognized coaches, under the tutelage of Kris Kasperowicz, Erwin Rybczynski, and Matt and Ula Rivers. She has dance teacher certification training from Ballroom University under the coaching of World Champion Tommye Giacchino.  Moreover, she is a pianist of 20 years, having had training from Dr. Gloria Cook and her strict Russian piano teacher Zalina Gurevich.  Dancing and rhythm come naturally to her as a result of her musical background.

Xixi takes each couple’s personalities and preferences into consideration when she choreographs and teaches. She is able to tailor the lessons to their specific needs by analyzing their body movements and dancing chemistry. Xixi can take an engaged couple and give them an accelerated learning curve within a few lessons.  From there, she will really bring out their natural abilities, grace, and confidence through progressive learning.  She wants all of her students to shine and smile on their wedding day.
